The Balanced Man Scholarship (BMS)

The Balanced Man Scholarship is awarded to an incoming freshmen who exhibits academic excellence, demonstrate leadership skills, and a commit to health and well-being.

The Ancient Greeks believed in developing a Sound Mind and a Sound Body as the way to live a fulfilling life. SigEp nationally adopted this philosophy with the Balanced Man Ideal and since 1990 has awarded the Balanced Man Scholarship to some of the best students coming to campus. Membership in the Sigma Phi Epsilon Fraternity is not a requirement in order to be awarded this scholarship. Any first year male student is eligible to apply for the $500 scholarship.
